My name is Hasan. I’ve been a client of Palantir since 2016, and my pension adviser is Eamonn Prendergast.

I initially needed help with my self-invested pension. I did have an adviser before Eamonn, but I wasn’t happy with how things were going and wanted a second opinion.

I wanted Eamonn to look at the investments made on my behalf and see if he thought they were valid, whether he would be happy with them, or if there was anything that he’d do differently. Almost straight away, one of the investments he looked at, he wasn’t happy with. It raised loads of red flags, so I decided to move my investment from my previous adviser to Eamonn’s Palantir, and that’s where I’ve been since.

I was looking for a different adviser, and speaking to a family friend, he knew Eamonn and put me in contact with him. As soon as I spoke to him, I could tell from the tone of his voice that his professionalism came through over the phone. We set up a meeting, and within about half an hour, I’d made up my mind that I was going to stay with him.

Eamonn was very well-versed in all of the products he was talking about. He had in-depth knowledge of it all, and he could convey that knowledge to me in layman’s terms that I could understand because some of that financial stuff could go over my head, but he took the time to explain it all. Going back to one of the investments that he wasn’t happy about, it turned out it was a bit of a Ponzi scheme, and if it wasn’t for Eamonn, I would have lost a third of my whole pension investments, which is a lot. Thanks to Eamonn, he managed to claw all that back for me, and I’m in a happy place now, with him.

Working with Palantir and Eamonn, in particular, gives you a sense that you’re being cared for. To me, he’s not just a pension adviser; he’s a financial adviser, and he’s an accountant. To give you an example, out of the blue, he phoned me, and he said, “Hasan, I’ve just been looking at your wage slips, and I think you should be due a tax refund.” I said, “Oh, how do I go about that then?” He said, “I’ve done it all for you. I’ve written a letter, and I’ll send it to you. You just sign it and post it off to the taxman, and we wait for a reply.” Off it went, and just before Christmas, I got a really big cheque!

I look to the future with a lot more confidence than I did before I met him. I’m really happy that I’m with Palantir, and I know that if there are any issues, he’ll be on the phone or send me an email, and then we’ll have a meeting. So, I’m looking forward to the future; I’ve got no problems or worries at all.

I would describe Eamonn as a man of integrity; he is professional and honest.

The best thing about working with Eamonn and Palantir is that I don’t have to worry about any of the stuff that’s going on in the background because it’s all done for me, and I know that if there are any issues at all, he’d be straight on the phone or contact me via email. So, it’s peace of mind.

I’d recommend Palantir to any of my friends because it takes the worry out of your pension. If you’ve got a self-invested pension anywhere and you don’t know what’s going on in the background, which generally you don’t, leave it to the professionals; you’ve got that in Palantir and Eamonn in particular.
