My name is Sarah Hickey. I’m a partner at Birketts LLP. I have known Eamonn Prendergast at Palantir for 10-plus years.

I deal with private client work: wills, trusts, and probate. A lot of my clients, when looking at their wills, might not necessarily have financial advisers in place already, so it’s always something that I flag up that’s really important that they get a review carried out. It’s also something that, when I’m dealing with probate, clients who are receiving money as beneficiaries often need some investment advice, so Palantir is always a go-to.

I met Eamonn many years ago; it was at least 10 years ago, possibly longer (this shows my age), and we got on really well. I suspect it was at a business development event, and he just struck me as very knowledgeable and very enthusiastic. He clearly kept up to speed with legal developments and financial developments. It was refreshing when I talked to him, and so that was the start of what has been a long working professional relationship.

The best thing for me about working with Palantir is that I am absolutely assured that anybody I refer my clients or friends to will get a very good, top-quality service. Service in my industry is really important, and at Birketts we hold ourselves out as a first-class service, so it’s a reflection on me if I refer friends or family to a professional, and I know that he delivers that same first-class service.

The beauty of Palantir is that they give very pragmatic advice. They look at the client’s individual circumstances; it’s not one-size-fits-all. They really review the client’s circumstances very well and take that into consideration both for present and future planning.

The words I’d use to describe Palantir and particularly Eamonn Prendergast, who I have a connection with, are conscientious, knowledgeable, and very personable.

I think Palantir has affected my clients’, friends’, and family’s financial futures in a way that gives them surety that they’ve either had the financial affairs reviewed and there are no changes needed, or they’ve had changes implemented and they have comfort and security for their financial futures going forward.
